AAT-181 is a copolymer seam adhesive recommended for all types of carpet backings including vinyl (PVC). AAT-181 can be used in direct glue and double glue carpet applications. AAT-181 can be used to “butter” carpet edges in preparation for making seams for stretch-in carpet installations. AAT-181 Universal Seam Adhesive can also be used to join seams in resilient flooring like pure vinyl and linoleum sheet goods.

AAT-181 is solvent free and contains no hazardous or toxic chemicals. AAT-181 is 0 VOC as defined by the SCAQMD Proposition 65, Rule 1168. AAT-181 is solvent free and “Installer Friendly”.

AAT-181 dries to an extremely strong bond, having tensile strength which exceeds traditional direct glue down, solvent based seam adhesives. AAT-181 can be applied to the edge using the same installation procedure and technique that is currently employed for all conventional seam adhesives. Place a 1/16" bead at the edge interface of first piece of material, while it lies in the spread floor covering adhesive, and then compress the second edge into the first. Apply the adhesive to only one side of the flooring.
