AAT-565 is a high solids urethane based, high-strength adhesive formulated for the professional installation of long plank wood flooring. AAT-565 spreads easily with a specially designed gun and has a non-slump formula to allow the ridges to bridge gaps between wood flooring and sub floor. This adhesive is waterproof when fully cured and ensures a strong water resistant bond. However, it will not prevent moisture-related damages to wood flooring. This adhesive can be used on most commonly found subfloors and brands of wood flooring designed for "staple down with glue assist" installations. The adhesive spreads easily and has a non-slump formula that will help insure contact and adhesive transfer. It allows fast installation even with complicated patterns due to its strong green grab. There is no flash time required, so the installation of wood flooring can begin immediately. The adhesive offers superior flexibility and is designed to keep the flooring in place, yet allow for normal movement during seasonal changes to the flooring. AAT-565 can be used on planks up to seven inches wide. Because the formula contains no water, it will not cause cupping to the wood flooring during installation. Beads are spread approximately 3 inches apart on the sub-floor. Vary the height of the beads to eliminate hollow spots especially when installing long planks. It grabs, holds and keeps wood floors in place. This adhesive qualifies for LEED credits. It does not contain isocyanates, any solvents or other hazardous materials. It is therefore ozone and environmentally safe.
