The No. 422L is a 1/16" open x 1/32" flat x 1/32" deep U-notched trowel that is notched on the left side of the blade for left-handed users. The front edge is angled back 10 Degree for clearance when spreading close to the wall. The wooden handle is curved for comfortable grip. The handle bracket is welded to the spring steel blade.
