These tough and hardened nails resist bending. They are used extensively by carpet installers where the condition of the aggregate permits. They have a countersunk head style. The 1/2", 5/8", 3/4" and 1" sizes are 10 gauge (.1350" shank diameter) and have a 17/64" head diameter. The 11/16" size, which is ordinarily used in prenailed tackless strip, is 12 gauge (.1055" shank diameter) and has a 7/32" head diameter. All sizes are sold in a convenient 5 lb. box, or an economical 50 lb. carton.
