Rapid Recess subfloor lowering kits - Designed to provide the necessary depth to install a true, zero-entry curbless shower.
The Bracket Kit for Point Drain (Model RR25SF) is used with pre-manufactured or mortar shower pans with a center point drain. This kit will cover 25 square feet or less with the recommended shower pan sizes being 5' x5' or 4' x 6'. The floor height within the shower area is recessed 11/16" and is limited by the height of the floor joists. Includes metal brackets for lowering plywood floors for a curbless shower.
- Installed from above the joists without the use of a 2×4 frame or compromising the structural integrity of the joists (Rapid Recess doesn’t interfere with plumbing or other obstacles between the joists)
- Used with different, types, widths and orientation of floor joists (joists parallel or perpendicular to shower entry)
- No framing ledger boards or cross-bracing needed
- Floor height within the lowered area is recessed by 11/16"

- #10 1 5/8” wood to metal self-drilling screws with wings (2 packages of 80 pieces)
- #10 2 3/4” wood to metal self-drilling screws with wings (x40)
- #8 x 1 1/4” Flat-head Phillips screws (x60)
